Hi I'm Shay, creator of The Phoenix Candles™️.
Growing up under tumultuous circumstances, I left childhood feeling abandoned, insecure, and unsafe — almost every day I was in survival mode. I realized as a young adult I could either succumb to my pain or persevere and rise to greater heights.
I chose to fight for myself and in so doing I began to break a generational cycle and heal. While this journey was filled with peaks and valleys, day by day I began to learn how to move forward in a more loving way.
Today, I'm in a place where I can pay this love forward and with that, The Phoenix Candles' vision was born. Every Phoenix Candle has an element that represents some aspect of my healing journey.

The story of the Phoenix has always been inspirational — a bird rising from the ashes as a symbol of hope, personal strength and resilience; all born from the knowledge and experience of overcoming difficult times and challenging circumstances.
We love the idea of using the power of scent to practice mindfulness and find your inner strength to achieve peace and harmony. We also believe in the science of Aromachology, in which joyful memories are evoked by particular scents.
It begins with our candle names of Perseverance, Hope, Optimism, Empowerment, Nurture, Intuition and Xenacious — and it is no coincidence that each starts with a letter that spells out "PHOENIX".

Our Commitment
Our uncompromising commitment to sustainability is shown by using only high quality, clean ingredients that are responsibly sourced with minimal impact on the environment — including recyclable glass vessels and FSC certified wooden wicks.
We also believe in philanthropy. A percentage of our profits goes to charitable causes such as Trees for the Future, the child advocacy group CASA, as well as organizations for suicide prevention and people experiencing homelessness.
